No loadshedding expected today – Eskom

The struggling power utility cautioned that the system remains constrained and vulnerable.

Eskom announced this morning that there would be no loadshedding today and the probability remained low for the rest of the week.

The embattled power utility said it would continue to use emergency reserves to supplement capacity over the rest of the week, if required

“We however remind customers that as the system continues to remain vulnerable, load-shedding could be implemented at short notice if there is a change on the system.”

Eskom appealed to customers to use electricity sparingly, as the system remains constrained.
