Woman drowns at Dokodweni beach

Despite efforts to give her CPR she was declared dead at the beach.

A 23-year-old woman drowned at Dokodweni beach yesterday.

The woman was apparently having fun at the beach with her family when she got into difficulty.

“Lifeguards responded to the female and after removing her from the water, started CPR.

“But it did not help, when paramedics arrived she showed no sign of life and was declared dead, ” said IPSS Medical Rescue spokesperson Paul Herbst.
