How will stage two loadshedding affect you tonight?

Loadshedding will run from 9pm tonight through to 8am tomorrow morning.

Struggling power utility Eskom tonight announced that it will implement stage two loadshedding after it had used an extensive amount of its emergency reserves in order to meet today’s demand.

Eskom said loadshedding will start from 9pm tonight (Wednesday) through to 8am tomorrow morning.

“The power system remains vulnerable and unpredictable with breakdowns sitting at 13 543MW as at 4.30pm,” Eskom said.

Eskom may implement further loadshedding tomorrow if needed.

The Ballito southern grid and Tongaat will not be affected.

Mandeni and KwaDukuza’s northern grid are however expected to go off.

Mandeni: 9pm – 10.30pm.

KwaDukuza northern grid: 10pm – 00.30am.
