Eskom shifts to stage one loadshedding
Some of Eskom's generating units are up and running again.

Eskom today announced the downgrading of stage two to stage one loadshedding, saying it will run from 6am until 11pm tonight.
The power utility said the shift to stage one loadshedding was as a result of some generating units returning to service.
“Our pumped storage schemes have been sufficiently replenished and, we continue to work to improve on the levels of diesel at our open cycle gas turbine generators,” Eskom said.
Emergency reserves will still be used to supplement generating capacity today.
“Our teams continue to work around the clock to return units from planned and unplanned outages.”
Loadshedding stage one will not affect the North Coast today including: Tongaat, Ballito (KwaDukuza’s southern network), Stanger (KwaDukuza’s northern network) and Mandeni.
