Road works at Chaka’s Rock to start next week

A total of 350m of road will be rehabilitated with the project scheduled to start on January 27.

KwaDukuza municipality is appealing to the public to be patient while they begin repairs on the Chaka’s Rock Main Road between Salt Café and Two on Main.

The rehabilitation will start on Monday, January 27 and hopefully be done by February 7.

“We humbly request that all the affected business owners, residents and community members using this road bear with us during this period,” said ward 22 councillor Privi Makhan.

“This project is part of the capital projects for ward 22 for the current financial year.

“About 350m of the road will be rehabilitated and contractors will ensure that one lane of the road remains open at all times,” said Makhan.
