Brace yourselves for more loadshedding this weekend
The struggling power utility said it is removing three of its large power generating units for planned maintenance today.
Loadshedding will continue today from 9am country-wide.
“Unplanned outages were at 12 722MW as at 5.30am this morning.
“We are monitoring the system closely and we will continue to provide updates on the power system as things change at short notice,” said Eskom.
Today’s loadshedding is will continue until 6am on Monday.
Eskom has blamed a shortage of generation capacity and depleted emergency resources.

Friday:
Stanger (KwaDukuza Northern Grid) (Tinley Manor to Zinkwazi) will not be affected.
Ballito (KwaDukuza Southern Grid) (Tinley Manor to Zimbali) will not be affected.
Tongaat will be off from 10am to midday.
Mandini will not be affected.
Saturday:
Stanger (KwaDukuza Northern Grid) (Tinley Manor to Zinkwazi) midnight – 2.30am.
Ballito (KwaDukuza Southern Grid) (Tinley Manor to Zimbali) 8pm – 10.30pm.
Tongaat will be off from 10am to midday.
Mandini 10pm – 00.30am.
Sunday:
Stanger (KwaDukuza Northern Grid) (Tinley Manor to Zinkwazi) midnight – 2.30am and 8am – 10.30am.
Ballito (KwaDukuza Southern Grid) (Tinley Manor to Zimbali) 4am – 6.30am.
Tongaat will be off from 2am – 4am.
Mandini 6am – 8.30am.
