Loadshedding will continue until Saturday, see how you will be affected here

Stage two loadshedding will be implemented from 9am today and continue until 6am on Saturday.

“There is a high probability that loadshedding will continue over the weekend as we need to replenish reserves for the coming week.”

As at 5.30am this morning, breakdowns were measured at 11 938MW while unplanned maintenance was measured at 4 654MW.

Emergency reserves are currently being used to supplement the shortage in capacity and while they regret the short notice of the latest round of loadshedding, the state utility said that they had previously warned short notice may be necessary.

This is how you will be affected by loadshedding over the next few days.

Ballito: Midday until 2.30pm (Thursday), 10am until 12.30pm and again from 6pm to 8.30pm (Friday).

Stanger Grid: 2am to 4.30am and again from 10am to 12.30pm (Friday).

Mandeni (A): 2pm until 4.30pm (Thursday), midday until 2.30pm and again from 8pm to 10.30pm (Friday).

Mandeni (B): 6pm to 8.30pm (Thursday), midnight until 2.30am (Friday) and midnight until 2.30am (Saturday).

Tongaat CBD: 8am to 10am (Thursday), midnight until 2am and again from 10am to midday (Friday).
