X-Class gets final hurrah from Carlex Design
If the X-Class looked and carried itself like this since its inception in 2017, sales would have reached far beyond expectations, as a rival to the best-selling Ford Ranger Raptor, and you wouldn't have to can the lineup.
The Mercedes X-Class will be no more as of May this year, according to the Stuttgart-based manufacturer.
This news hasn’t stopped Polish tuner Carlex Design for putting together a ‘Final Edition’ X-Class for their customers.
I’m going to klap you, Mercedes – if the X-Class looked and carried itself like this since its inception in 2017, sales would have reached far beyond expectations, as a rival to the best-selling Ford Ranger Raptor, and you wouldn’t have to can the lineup.
Nonetheless, there’s no use crying over spilt milk.
Carlex Design has put together two kits for the X-Class: the Off-Road Final Edition, and the Extreme Final Edition, predictably applicable to both the four-cylinder and V6 model, finished in red and black respectively.

The Extreme Final Edition will also be fitted with a lift kit and and off-road tyres.
Liberal amounts of stitched leather and carbon-fibre surround the instrumentation and dash elements, together with lots of ‘Final Edition’ logos, in case you forget what you’d bought.
No prices have been revealed as yet, but with looks and luxury as good as this, the monster Merc will be hard to pass up for committed collectors.
Seeing as the X-Class goes out to pasture at the end of May, buyers can expect some bargains as dealers will seek to push them off the showroom floor, so be sure to check around your local dealer.
