SPAR’s big heart gets thumbs up from Orphan Fund
Orphan Fund coordinator Jane Armstrong conveyed her thanks to the generous shoppers of Ballito as well as the staff and management of Ballito SPAR for the donations.
In celebration of Valentine’s Day and to support charities across the country, Spar supermarket in February launched a shopper-supported initiative called Big Heart to put a smile on the faces of those in need.
Each Spar nationwide had to choose a charity to support, and Ballito Spar opted to give The North Coast Courier Orphan Fund the thumbs up, allowing shoppers to donate an item of their choosing to the cause.

“We so appreciate the kindness and thank you for choosing to support our cause,” she said.
