Fair Fund ladies get the job done

Food parcels from Lali Foods are being distributed to many on the Dolphin Coast who have lost their jobs or left without income for the past month.

Funds raised through the annual Christmas Fair Fund are being put to very good use in helping many hard hit in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic, says chairlady Gaby Lyle.

Food parcels from Lali Foods are being distributed to many on the Dolphin Coast who have lost their jobs or left without income for the past month.

“Although the initiative was a once-off, if enough people consider supporting it we could look at continuing with it,” said Lyle.

Each food parcel cost around R370 and is made up of rice, lentils, peanut butter, tea, sugar, oil, pasta and beans etc. To date, the fund has bought 100 food parcels.

The ladies of the Christmas Fair Fund would like to extend their thanks to the generous donations received from Cyril Samson of Star Products and the assistance provided by Tony Perkins of Lali Foods, Umhlali.
