From 0-60 beats in less than a second, JDM live at Casuarina Beach will rev your engine

Expected to bring Casuarina Beach in Seatides to a stand-still on December 5, the JDM Live car show will unite petrol heads in their love of one thing – cars!

With a line-up of cars – and even some bikes – from across South Africa, the show promises to showcase some of the country’s finest import vehicles.

Nothing gets the blood flowing to your heart faster than a fast car, especially with a line-up which will include Nissan GTR R35s, Honda S2000 and even a couple of Aston Martins. 

Founding members of Local Japs, Cassidy Ramen, Revarshen Govender and Diroshen Muller say that the idea of JDM Live was to unite people with a love of cars and started way back in 2015.

The event has grown into possibly the largest gathering of Japanese performance cars in South Africa.

“It is not a competitive car show as such,” said Ramen.

“JDM Live in November last year was such a success that we decided to create a little twist this year and join forces with other brands to create a different theme. It is all based purely on unity and good vibes, to allow car fanatics to showcase their rides under one platform.”

So brush the quarantine-dust off your pride and joy and join the engine revving party.

This year the organisers are promising a great show with the likes of Amazing Glaze’s Porsche’s, as well as Ferraris, Lamborghinis and a stretched Hummer limousine.

“It seems this would be the first time since World War 2 where we see Japan once again join forces with Germany,” joked Ramen.

Among the crowds are well-known car clubs Grounded Nation, Phansi for Life, OddMods Suspension, Xclusive Car Culture and SLS Auto and Local Japs.

Entry is free and the event runs all day from 8am.
