Human remains unearthed at construction site in Umdloti
A specialist is on site for further testing.
A human skeleton was found during excavations at 57 North Beach Road in Umdloti this morning.
At around 10.45 am, construction workers called Marshall Security to the site on discovery of the skeleton.
Once Marshall Security had arrived, Durban North Saps were contacted and the construction was halted.
When the Courier visited the scene, construction at the backend of the site, away from where the skeleton was found had restarted.

Durban North Saps confirmed that a specialist is on site for further testing.
It has not yet been confirmed whether the remains are male or female, nor how long they had been buried at the site.
