Earth Awareness Campaign sees community rally to clean up Salmon Bay

"My aim is to get the community together to join the journey, and start taking care of our town and make a difference everywhere they go," he said.

The Earth Awareness Campaign led a beach cleanup at Salmon Bay on Saturday, April 4, resulted in 24 bags of trash being removed from the beach.

The campaign is an initiative of Ballito resident Tyrone Molyneaux in the hope of making people more aware of their environment.

Helpers scoured beach sand in search of common pollutants such as plastic.

“My aim is to get the community together to join the journey, and start taking care of our town and make a difference everywhere they go,” he said.
