Calling all bakers to join Cupcakes of Hope

Cupcakes of Hope is a non-profit which raises awareness and funds for families affected by cancer.

Bakers are being called on to don their mittens and aprons in support of a cupcake day in conjunction with Sotheby’s Realty Ballito and Cupcakes of Hope.

Organised by Diana Brett and Andrea Maartens, the duo will host a cupcake day in support of Cupcakes of Hope, a non-profit raises awareness and funds for families affected by cancer.

This is mostly done through Cupcakes of Hope’s love of baking cupcakes, with several events throughout the year.

In line with Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, held in September, Diana and Andrea are hoping to make a difference by raising funds for the NPO through the sale of cupcakes at Ballito Lifestyle Centre this September 25, from 7am.

For Diana, the event is a personal one having lost both her niece and sister to cancer.

She is hopeful that through the support from the community, and the rallying of bakers to support them with cupcakes, they will be able to make a difference the lives of those who need it most.
