West Pack opening draws shoppers at The Odyssey Ballito

West Pack offers shoppers an adventure and indulgence in everyday products which are affordably priced.

West Pack Express at The Odyssey in Ballito is open for business.

Shoppers were eagerly waiting in excitement for West Pack to open.

Launch day on September 30 saw hordes of eager shoppers attend the opening, with spot prizes, trolley dashes and mad giveaways doing the rounds as queueing shoppers were delighted with the new store.

Kids and adults alike danced with West Pack’s mascot on the day of the launch.

The store was then temporarily closed due to building inspections.

Showinng off their fortune cookies were Laaiga, Arsa and Azhar Mohammed.

West Pack first started in 1996 on the West Rand of Gauteng, where the first store can still be found.

West Pack employee Owen Ncube dished out fortune cookies of which some contained a sticker, which if found, would allow entry into the trolley dash competition on launch day.

West Pack staff eagerly clapped along with celebrations on launch day, while shoppers danced with the West Pack mascot.

The West Pack group now operate more than 60 stores nationwide and employ well over 3 000 people.

The Odyssey is an innovative mixed use development which includes shopping, a medical centre and residential opportunities.

Jenny Lebrasse scored with this container of plastic goods which she won in a spot prize competition.
