Buckle up for the North Coast’s best classic car show

More than 250 classic cars and motorbikes will be on display at the Classic Car Show at Ballito Junction on June 12.

Get ready to travel back in time as some of South Africa’s best preserved classic cars invade Ballito.

Hosted in conjunction with Ballito Auto Body, the 2nd annual car show hopes to have added more than 70 cars from last year’s already successful event.

A beautifully maintained 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air, one of the 20th century’s most iconic cars.

“We want to keep the love of classic cars alive and to show the new generation what these amazing roadsters have to offer,” said Ballito Auto Body manager, Hannes Joubert.

“The knowledge of how to maintain these cars is slowly dying, so to get new people interested is only going to have a positive effect going forward.”

Although the majority of vehicles are expected to come from within KwaZulu-Natal, Joubert confirmed some car clubs from other provinces will also be making the trip.

As if driven straight out of Miami Vice, this 1971 Dodge RT Charger is strikingly impressive.

At the time of print, the oldest car confirmed for the day was a 1932 Hudson Essex-Terraplane.

Entrance to the event is free.

The show will be held at Level 6 of Ballito Junction from 10am-3pm.
