KwaDukuza Child Welfare Winter Fair back in full force
Continuing its valuable work of offering social services to the most vulnerable families and abandoned children in KwaDukuza's 29 wards during the tough Covid restrictions, has severely impacted the organisation's financial sustainability.
There is a renewed spirit of optimism at KwaDukuza Child Welfare.
For the first time in two years since the Covid-19 lockdown measures prevented fundraising activities, the non-profit organisation’s annual Winter Fair – its biggest source of fundraiser income – will return at the end of the month to boost the cash-strapped society’s coffers.
This will coincide with the society’s 83rd anniversary.
The Winter Fair, to be held at the Stanger High sport grounds between June 29 and July 3, will hopefully mark the turnaround point of again placing the society on a forward trajectory.
The fair will have an array of activities, from a kids programme including bunny petting and tractor rides, to live entertainment throughout the weekend and a large variety of food and general stalls.
General stalls are still available and entrepreneurs can contact Judy Naidoo on 032 5512129 to book.
Car enthusiasts can also prepare themselves for an exciting car show from Friday to Sunday.
The Winter Fair committee meets every Thursday at 3pm at the KwaDukuza Child Welfare offices. Anybody willing to become involved in the planning of the fair is invited to join the meetings.
The society welcomes any fresh suggestions.
