Taking a big bite for Sables Creatures sees more than R40 000 raised

Man vs Food is an eating competition, with this year's event including challenges such as hot wings, chilli vodka and the infamous 'Thor's Hammer'.

Mozambik’s Man vs Food fundraiser in aid of Sables Creatures was well attended and a huge success, raising R41 630 for the local non-profit animal rescue organisation last Wednesday.

“We are grateful for the tremendous support. This is a massive help to offset some of our debt,” said Sables Creatures’ Seema Duwarkah.

Thor’s Hammer is a 2kg beef shin covered in a cheese sauce on top of a bed of mash, in total weighing 3kg. The competition was won by Clinton Slatter.
