Groundswell of support for surf shop relaunch at The Steps

Joined by local and foreign members of the surfing community, the legacy of shop founders Johno and Bernice Hutchison was celebrated.

A Ballito favourite among surfers since 1998, Groundswell Surf Shop celebrated its relaunch on Sunday evening after the store had been temporarily closed for renovation.

They decided to grab the opportunity of opening a store which offered the same ‘surf-stoke-lifestyle’ they grew accustomed to while abroad. Between January and April their store underwent renovation.
