Walk away from abuse while you can
As a survivor it has been Nomusa Mzimela's dream to help other women by sharing her story.
Ballito resident Nomusa Mzimela is determined to raise awareness about domestic abuse and encouraged abused women to walk away and seek help.
The 55-year-old hosted a women’s high tea at Relax Inn on Saturday, where she shared her own story and encouraged the audience to pick themselves up after trauma and make time for self-love.
“I am a survivor of abuse in my previous marriage. I am talking about physical, verbal, psychological, domestic, financial and sexual abuse,” said Mzimela.
“I would like to thank all those who came and supported the event. I hope this is not going to be the last one,” said Mzimela, who said it takes immense courage to leave an abusive relationship.
