Umhlali Saps are investigating the incident.
Khumalo went missing in the early hours of Sunday morning, July 2, after she had been left alone at home while her parents went to help douse the nearby fire which razed 16 shacks.
Her mother, Nompumelelo, said the house was locked but upon her return a window was found open and Minenhle had gone.
