The Gallery’s new ‘Meraki’ exhibition showcases art with soul

The ‘Meraki’ exhibition opens on February 6 and offers visitors a window into the creative process.

It is often said that true art is only created when the artist has poured their soul into it.

The newest exhibition at The Gallery at Lifestyle Centre, titled ‘Meraki’ explores that exact theme. Meraki is a Greek word which is the act of “doing something with profound care and devotion, as though a piece of your soul is left behind in the work.”

Meraki will run at the Gallery from February 6 to March 30 and will exhibit a number of unique artists whose work reflects their innermost unique qualities.

Expect paintings, sculpture and mixed media, from artists new and experienced. By viewing the work, visitors will have a chance to connect on a deep level with the artists.

Jane Alexander is one of the artists whose work will be exhibited.

“We are excited to present Meraki as an exploration of the deeply personal and soulful aspects of creativity,” said The Gallery curator, Sarah O’Reilly.

“This exhibition goes beyond aesthetics; it’s about the emotional and spiritual energy that artists put into their work. Every piece tells a story of devotion, and we’re thrilled to bring these stories to life for our audience.”

The opening night of the exhibition will coincide with First Thursdays at The Studios. Come from 6pm.
