Donate a blanket, spread warmth this winter
You can find Blanket4Kids campaign drop-off points at local SPAR branches.
Help keep vulnerable children warm this winter by supporting the Blankets 4 Kids campaign.
Spearheaded by the Restore Africa Foundation in partnership with Shaka Nursery, Mr & Miss KwaZulu-Natal and Mrs KZN North Coast, the initiative calls on the community to open their hearts and closets for a good cause.
The campaign aims to collect 600 new or gently used blankets by July 2 to help children in need stay warm during the cold season. Drop-off points include Tiffany’s Superspar, Ballito Lifestyle Superspar and Kwikspar Ballito Village.
A third of the collected blankets will be donated to The North Coast Courier Orphan Fund, with the remainder going to two early childhood development centres in Tongaat.
