Hirsch’s has been named one of South Africa’s most trusted brands!

The country’s largest independently owned appliance and retail company was recognised alongside banking and retail giants in a first-of-its-kind poll conducted by consumer insights agency KLA and research firm YouGov. The poll included data collected across South Africa between June 2024 and May 2025, with more than 200 companies cited.

With a recommendation score of 83.3%, Hirsch’s finished seventh overall.

“We owe this recognition to our incredible customers and we cannot thank them enough for their loyalty and support,” said Hirsch’s CEO, Richard Hirsch.

“We are also delighted to see that Samsung, one of our biggest suppliers, ranks as the second most recommended brand in the country.”

South Africa’s top-10 most-recommended brands:

1. Rand Merchant Bank (RMB) – 90.1%.
2. Samsung – 88.9%.
3. Woolworths Food – 88.1%.
4. Woolworths Clothing – 86.7%.
5. Woolworths Home – 85.2%.
6. FNB – 84.2%.
7. Hirsch’s – 83.3%.
8. Cape Union Mart – 83.2%.
9. Checkers – 82.7%.
10. Metropolitan – 82.5%.
