Exciting North Coast social events to look out for

Halloween Horrors, the Christmas Fair and the Ballito Potjie Competition all return over the next few weeks.

23 October – Enjoy Sundowners on Eat Street from 4pm with DJ Ethan Kinder.

24 October – iLembe Chamber of Commerce “The Entrepreneur 2025 Exhibition” final at CMH Ballito showroom from 12pm. Free entry.

– Live music by Jemma Kate at Eat Street from 6.30pm.

25 October – 8.5km run/walk fundraiser for stroke survivor Scott Meyer at Holla Trails from 3.30pm. R100pp.

– Enjoy a line-up of authors, poets and creatives at the iLembe book Festival at Luthuli Museum from 9am-5pm. Entry is free.

– Ballito Cancer tea at The lyric Lounge from 10.30am. R300pp. Email balitocancertea@gmail.com or Lisa at 082 469 8695 to secure your tickets. Proceeds in aid of Reach for Recovery.

– Enjoy dinner at The Market with Seb Goldswain from 6pm or at Eat Street with Afritude from 6.30pm.

26 October – Hearts in Harmony breast cancer fundraiser at Slow Roads Collective at 8am. Yoga, meditation and nature walks. Register at kayashalayoga.co.za/heartsinharmony.

– Sunday lunch with Dave Starke at The Market from 12.30pm and Quiet Storm at Eat Street from 1pm.

29 October – Enjoy music with renowned South African tenor Chris Coetzee at All Souls Church at 9.30am in aid of charity. Tickets R100, available at the church Mon–Fri, 8.30am–1.30pm or via EFT. Contact Heather Aiston for details at 071 358 4018. Tea, coffee and eats provided.

30 October – Ballito Writers’ Group meeting at the Ballito Library at 10.30am with Tea. All welcome. Theme: “Creative Writing.”

30 October – 1 November – The annual Christmas Fair with Flair at Manor House. Tickets from R100-R250 via Quicket.

31 October – Join the fun at Kids United Light Party at Grace Family Church Ballito. R120 per child (ages 4–13). Enjoy the famous rocket, epic games and activities. Food and drinks will be on sale.

31 October – 2 November – Halloween Horrors at La Montagne from 6pm on opening night and from 1pm-9pm afterwards. R150pp. Message 073 352 2836 for tickets.

1 November – Enjoy a family day out at the Ballito Neighbourhood Watch annual potjie competition at Townsend Park from 11am.

• Saturday and Sunday and selected public holidays: Ballito Farmers Market, 8am-3pm at Lower Oaklands Farm, Umhlali.
• Sunday: The Sugar Market – Farmers’ Edition, 10am-2pm at Sugar Rush Park.
