Flower Club displays exhibit colourful creativity

The Dolphin Coast Floral Art Club meets on the third Monday of every month at All Saints Catholic Church in Ballito.

Renowned floral artist Yvonne Eijlers recently displayed her talent in Ballito by creating beautiful arrangements without using traditional foam supports.

Eijlers demonstrated her innovative techniques during the October meeting of the Dolphin Coast Floral Art Club, showing members what can be achieved with planning and creativity. Instead of floral foam, commonly known as Oasis, she used natural plant materials, containers and alternative mechanics that were both surprising and inventive.

Dee Strange, a novice, received a gold award for her first arrangement.

The October competition, themed “Modern,” drew four entries. Anne Tramontino was awarded Best on Show.
