BBS Mica golf day brings in R165k for Beacon of Care

The funds raised will support the organisation's ongoing efforts to deliver vital palliative care and improve the quality of life for patients and their families.

North Coast golfers and local businesses rallied together to raise R165 000 for Beacon of Care at a charity golf day at Umhlali Country Club last Thursday.

Hosted by BBS Mica Build Ballito, the event on May 12 drew 124 enthusiastic golfers who enjoyed a glorious day on the course while contributing to a meaningful cause.

“The golf day is getting very popular; we even had people phoning on the morning of the golf day wanting to participate.”

Sheldon Veldsman opened the charity golf day at Umhlali Country Club.

Founded in December 2018 in response to the lack of hospice facilities in the area, Beacon of Care has grown to serve communities across the North Coast.
