4 June – Sundowners on Eat Street with DJ Marcel between 4-6pm, before First Thursdays at The Studios with Quiet Storm from 5.30-8.30pm.

5 June – Catch Chuck Bowden at The Market between 6-9pm, or Hale Mary on Eat Street from 6.30-9.30pm.

6 June – Breakfast at The Studios with Ryan Lawler between 10.30am-12.30pm. Rhett Baker will perform at The Market from 6-9pm, with Suits of Armour live on Eat Street from 6.30-9.30pm.

7 June – Hear Mthobisi Khumalo at The Studios between 10.30am-12.30pm. The Kickstands will take over at The Market from 12.30-3.30pm and Angel will keep you entertained at Eat Street between 1-4pm.

11 June – Fourth annual Ballito Father’s Day Charity Golf Challenge at Zimbali CC. R1 300pp, includes green fees, cart, goodie bags and finger supper. Sponsorship welcome. Email mdihopefoundation@gmail.com for tickets.

21 June – Ballito Book Readers meeting – “Memories of Childhood Reading” at Ekhaya Guest House, Ballito at 2pm. World-renowned storyteller Gcina Mhlophe is a special guest. RSVP to Richard at 078 780 0735.

• Thursday and Sunday: Salt Rock Farmers’ Market at Slow Roads Collective. 7am-12pm on Thursday and 9am-1pm on Sunday.
• First Friday of every month: Burnedale Farm Night Market, 4.30-8.30pm in Umhlali.
• First Friday of every month: Market 032 night market, 6-9pm at La Montagne.
• First and last Saturday of the month: Car boot sale at Ballito Gesinskerk, 7-11am.
• Saturday, Sunday and selected public holidays: Ballito Farmers Market, 8am-3pm at Lower Oaklands Farm, Umhlali.
