8 October – Sundowners on Eat Street from 4-6pm with DJ Laskyyy.

9 October – Triple Beat performs on Eat Street between 6.30-9.30pm.

9 & 10 October – Oktoberfest at The Market between 6-8pm on Friday and from 12-2pm on Saturday with Kameraden Kapelle.

10 October – Breakfast at The Studios with Nick Pitman from 10.30am-12.30pm, ahead of dinner at The Market with Hansen Pillay between 6-9pm or on Eat Street with Jason Hartman from 6.30-9.30pm.

11 October – Catch Rene Tshiakanyi over breakfast at The Studios between 10.30am-12.30pm, before Sunday lunch at The Market with The Kickstands from 12.30-3.30pm or on Eat Street with Quiet Storm between 1-4pm.

14 October – Comedian Aaron McIlroy brings his new show ‘Rugby Mad’ to Ashton International College Ballito. Food and drinks for sale at venue, show starts at 7pm. Tickets R200 from Webtickets.

18 October – Ballito Book Readers monthly meeting at Ekhaya Guesthouse on Hilary Drive at 2pm. Violinist Tara Blake will perform. Bring your favourite verse of poetry or prose to read. RSVP to Richard at 078 780 0735.

19 October – Dolphin Coast Floral Art Club monthly meeting at All Saints Catholic Church Ballito at 9.30am. Demonstration by renowned floral artist Yvonne Eijlers. Visitors welcome at R50pp, RSVP to Vaughn at 083 510 8792.

24 October – Françoise Malby-Anthony, co-founder of Thula Thula, launches her new book ‘Dining with Elephants’ at Ekhaya Guesthouse on Hilary Drive at 2pm. Tickets R70 from Richard at 078 780 0735. Held in partnership with Exclusive Books.

29-31 October – Christmas Fair With Flair returns to The Manor House. Over 100 stalls with everything from clothing to Christmas trinkets, as well as food, drinks and live music. Tickets R120 from Quicket or at the door.

7 November – ‘Blooming Bookfair: Ballito’ at Ballito Library from 9am-12pm. Includes both established and up-and-coming authors, as well as performances by Sir Bastian and Kayla Bagshaw. Entry free.

8 November – ‘Wiggle Your Bones’ fun run/walk for osteoporosis awareness at Sugar Rush Park at 7.30am. Dogs welcome, 3km or 5km routes available. Tickets R100 from Howler.

  • Wednesday: Market 032 from 8am-12.30pm at La Montagne.
  • Thursday and Sunday: Salt Rock Farmers’ Market at Slow Roads Collective. 7am-12pm on Thursday and 9am-1pm on Sunday.
  • First Friday of every month: Market 032 night market, 6-9pm at La Montagne.
  • First and last Saturday of the month: Car boot sale at Ballito Gesinskerk, 7-11am.
  • Saturday, Sunday and selected public holidays: Ballito Farmers Market, 8am-3pm at Lower Oaklands Farm, Umhlali.
