Weylandts welcomes new flagship store at Sibaya

Former stores in both Ballito and Umhlanga were closed to concentrate on the new showroom.

Furniture brand Weylandts unveiled its new three-storey flagship store at Reefside Lifestyle & Leisure in the Sibaya precinct on Saturday.

A distinctly KwaZulu-Natal design aesthetic is found throughout the store.

Hundreds of invited guests and members of the public attended the opening and explored the expansive showroom and its range of furniture and homeware.

Weylandts founder Chris Weylandt said each level features a different product range, carefully curated to create a seamless customer experience.

“Experience is the number one criterion for us. For experience, you need design and intention, and each moment has to be considered in the journey of entering the store, experiencing our products and being inspired,” he said.

The store is at Reefside Lifestyle & Leisure, a new shopping centre accessible from both Umdloti and Sibaya, which also opened last week.

“Location for us is key, as our customers are not just residents living close to the store. Looking at the development happening on the North Coast, Sibaya is perfectly situated between areas further north, uMhlanga and inland communities,” said Weylandt.

“The response has been phenomenal. Thank you very much for the support, the appreciation, the energy and the positivity. I’m happy, my customers are happy. Thank you to the community.”
