Trinityhouse Palm Lakes catch a good one

Families enjoy fishing picnic.

Trinityhouse Palm Lakes had their first fishing picnic at Wagon Lake inside Palm Lakes Family Estate on Saturday October 25.

Chris Garland and his sons helped to create quick and easy Bamboo fishing rods and provided the bait for the children and parents who wanted to try their hand at fishing.

Garland carefully explained the catch and release technique and before long, everyone was enthusiastically fishing and some actually caught a fish.

A prize was given for the first, second and third biggest catch for the Pre-Primary, Preparatory and High School children.

Hunger soon set in, but luckily the moms had packed delicious picnic baskets, which were waiting for the fishermen. The first fishing picnic was such a success, that Trinityhouse Palm Lakes will add it to their calender as an annual event.

Trinityhouse looks forward to hearing the “one that got away” stories for many years to come!
