Ashton International College pupils have come out tops in swimming, rugby and hockey in the last seven weeks.
The Senior College first team squad won every league gala this season, and went on to impress at Kings Park by winning the Durban and Districts A League Co-ed Gala convincingly by 32 points.
For the first time, the entire Senior College travelled to Kings Park and the incredible support, singing and cheering was a display of true heart, spirit, character and courage.
The Junior College followed a week later when the girls finished third overall in their B league Durban and Districts Gala and the boys finished fifth.
Moving on to rugby, the first team boys have a dream come true moment coming up as they will be playing the curtain raiser for the Sharks vs Chiefs Super 15 clash, at Kings Park on March 21 at 5.05 pm.
Ashton’s first team will play against Crawford La Lucia in blue jerseys as Ashton stands together to create awareness of the “Light it up blue” campaign in aid of autism.
The rugby team won their last two matches against Durban North College (20 -9) in the Gelofte Night Series, and St Henry’s 8 – 3 at the Wartburg Festival.
The first team hockey girls won the Spar North Durban Regional Tournament, after playing their way into the finals and beating Fatima by 1 – 0.
“We are extremely excited about winning this very competitive tournament, and look forward to the finals in July,” said Reinette Frank, first team Coach.
