Pupils battled it out on the pitch last month at the annual Crawford Cricket League hosted by Crawford Preparatory North Coast.
Crawford Preparatory Sandton, Lonehill, Fourways, Pretoria, La Lucia and North Coast with the exception of Crawford Italia took part in the tournament.
Last year’s reigning winners, Crawford Sandton, were keen to defend their title.
It was a great weekend of cricket with all teams playing three matches on Friday and two on Saturday, thanks to the co-operating weather.
At the end of play on Saturday, Crawford Sandton had played some attractive cricket and eventually went on to win the tournament by winning all five of their matches.
It was a successful effort in defending their title from 2014.
The tournament was played in good spirit and fine camaraderie was shown among the teams.
A winner’s trophy was awarded to Crawford Sandton and a Players Trophy was awarded to one player from each team by their respective coaches.
This trophy was awarded to a cricketer, who they believed demonstrated great performance and had a positive attitude throughout the cricket league.
