Crawford College North Coast awarded their top three academic achievers for their remarkable results at their matric valedictory evening, held last week.
Kenyon Padayachee was awarded a gold medal for being first in grade 12 with an overall average of 93.14%. He also received a gold certificate for aggregate, gold medals for advanced mathematics, information technology, geography and mathematics and silver medals for English and physical sciences.
He also received a bronze medal for accounting, full colours for academics, as well as an array of distinctions. Demishka Valaitham earned her silver medal for being placed second in grade 12 with 91.25%. She was awarded this average for her gold certificate for aggregate, gold medals for English, history, life sciences and life orientation, silver medals for accounting and Afrikaans as well as a bronze medal for physical sciences. She was also awarded full colours for academics and various distinctions.
Third place achiever Kreantha Govender received the bronze medal for third place in the grade with an average of 89.29%. She was awarded this for achieving a gold certificate for aggregate, silver medals for advanced mathematics and mathematics, a bronze medal for life orientation, engineering and graphics and design.
She earned full colours for academics and numerous distinctions.
