Mini prom for mini pupils

Seatides school spoil pupils with a special evening.

Pupils in the foundation phase at Seatides Combined School were recently treated to a delightful evening of music, dance, fun and games as they celebrated their ‘Mini Prom’ in style.

The children, in grades R to three, met at Tongaat Town Hall on Friday, October 30 in a variety of snazzy suits, stunning saris and beautiful dresses to take part in an evening aimed at raising some much-needed funds.

The plan was to raise enough money to build a play area exclusively for the school’s youngest pupils as they are sharing a playground with the older children in the primary and secondary phases.

The play area will be tarred and fenced off and will be designed to create a safer playing environment for the little ones of Seatides who are not quite as boisterous as their older and bigger schoolmates.
