Shakaskraal SA off to nationals
Team defended their title as KZN Champs.
Shakaskraal SA Primary School basketball team will represent KZN at the National Top Schools tournament at the Pretoria Technical College on Wednesday, December 9 until next Wednesday, December 16.
They defended their title as the KZN schools champions on Sunday, August 30, where they scored a comprehensive victory against the Umlazi district, winning 18-12.
Coach of the team Queen Ndlovu said she is confident that her team will claim the SA schools champions tittle. Last year, the school claimed fourth position.
“I believe we are prepared enough to win the tournament this time. Last year some of my girls were scared, they felt that the competition was too big for them. But this year, they are mentally and physically ready,” said Ndlovu.
She thanked all their sponsors who bought them tracksuits, takkies, towels and other sport equipment.
