Top results at robotic challenge for Curro pupils

Their project was about making the use of electric vehicles more appealing by making a battery charging and swapping station.

Connor Major and Liam Goodfellow, two pupils from Curro Mount Richmore, took part in the Nationals for the World Robotics Olympiad held at the Vodacom Expo on September 28.

They participated in the Open Senior (ages 16-18) category and were submitted to extensive questioning about their project and research.

Their project was about making the use of electric vehicles more appealing by making a battery charging and swapping station.

They have been working on their project and research since March this year and their hard work resulted in a fourth place. The school is very proud of these two learners.

The grade 11 pupils did extensive research into this project and the end design consisted of some intense programming to get it to work.

The hard work put in by the students and teacher was commendable as they gave up many weekends and burned the midnight oil fine tuning their project.
