Seatides matrics celebrate asthounding results despite Covid-19

Kiash Nadasen Baldeo placed 8th in the province - while scoring only As - and was the top Mathematics learner with 99%. He was also the recipient of the school's Dux award and Principal's award for excellence.

The usual glitz and glamour may have been lacking at the Seatides Combined School matric awards ceremony, but this did not deter matriculants from celebrating their achievements.

The awards ceremony, held on March 5, celebrated a number of the school’s matriculants who achieved full house distinctions.

Kiash Nadasen Baldeo placed 8th in the province – while also bagging only As – and also scored the position of top Mathematics learner at 99%.

“Seatides Combined School celebrated an incredible 96.6% pass rate, with an impressive 65.5% of learners attaining Bachelor’s passes. A total of 114 A symbols were achieved with 5 learners bagging 7 As each,” said principal Kola Govender.

The top 5 learners at Seatides Combined School, all scoring 7 As, were Kiash Baldeo, Uvesh Narain, Kimyan Moodley, Kiasha Haridas and Mohini Pillay.
