Snehin Shravan Kumar was also selected to the Durban team who finished fourth.

Crawford International North Coast Grade 8 pupil, Snehin Shravan Kumar, excelled in the South African Mathematics Team Competition (SAMTC), securing an impressive 6th place nationally.

His top-tier performance in the individual category earned him a trophy, badges and certificates, firmly establishing him as one of the country’s standout young mathematicians.

The SAMTC is hosted by the South African Mathematics Foundation in collaboration with the Association for Mathematics Education of South Africa (AMESA) and the South African Mathematical Society.

Snehin’s achievement also earned him a place in AMESA Durban Team 1, which went on to achieve fourth place nationally in the team competition.

The school extended its gratitude to Dr Daniel Krupanandan for his mentorship and to mathematics teacher Kumaras Pillay for his ongoing guidance and support.
