This particular venue used to be Fat Zo’s and when I last reviewed it I said the place had potential. It seems Steven and Ian saw this potential as well. With a fresh coat of paint, change in décor and a very well thought out name, I think they have really done well.
This coffee shop/pizzeria seems to have been become quite a hit with the locals as they seem to be fairly busy. We popped in for a pizza and at first I thought that the service was terrible until I saw the sign saying “please order at counter,” which explains why we did not see a waiter. So please be aware you are not going to be waited on hand and foot here.
Once our pizzas were ordered they were extremely fast, on our table in less than 10 minutes. Even though the bases are pre-made in the morning their pizzas are divine, with a good amount of topping-to-cheese ratio, crisp base and a fantastic price. Please note that pizzas are only served from Wednesday to Sunday 12pm until 7pm.
Besides the pizza they really pride themselves on their coffee, they use Green bean coffee beans which are fantastic. In addition you can get some stunning pastries and they do toasted sandwiches and a wicked breakfast panni. I really think that they are going to do well with this concept and I wish them the best of luck.
