If I asked to borrow your car keys you might think I was going to take your vehicle for a ride.
You would be right. If, on the other hand, I asked for the keys to unlock your brain, what would you think then? Just be reassured that all I want is, to open the door to your own brain in order for you to get seriously thinking about voting.
We all need to vote and I do not need to hear that your voice does not count. It does, and it will be very important in the elections next year.
In order to vote you must be registered so get onto a Voters’ Roll. Please ensure that you do your thing and register or just check your status on the weekend of November 9 and 10. Ward 6 voters can do all of this at the Ballito Library or the Scout Hall in Townsend Park. I do not wish to borrow your brain, I just want you to use it!
There will be a Report Back session at the Ballito Library on Thursday October 24, at 9am. Please come and ask questions or air the concerns you have.
On October 30, the Mayor is visiting Ward 6 with his considerable entourage of directors and staff. Please show this Mayoral Imbizo your support. If you do not pitch, we as a Ward can suffer. Please arrive and show respect. Rewards will follow! The venue is at our famous chambers/ Ballito at 6pm.
Get used to elections. It is a fever that everyone will catch during the next five months.
