Yes, I know I was a chef back in the day!

But even chefs have days when they do not feel like cooking. I had such a night on Sunday, so I decided to grab a couple of pizzas from Debonairs.

I am not going to get into the whole story about traditionally made pizza versus franchise – we are looking at quick, convenient food here.

Out of all the franchise/takeaway pizza places in town Debonairs is by far my favourite.

I find the staff very friendly and efficient.

The menu has so many options and they always seem to be adding new sides or inventing some crazy new pizza. I ordered the chicken and mushroom which has been my favourite for a long time and we had the sweet and sour chicken, which was delicious. I loved the slight ginger taste.

To round off the meal I got the meaty triple decker Real Deal. I was not a huge fan – I found the mince a bit dry and it was a very heavy pizza.

I had the jalapeño pop-its for a side dish. It is almost like a quiche but they are so yummy – a bit rich but quite tasty. I have always enjoyed that they do not skimp on topping and the bases are not too thin.

The food was ready in no time even though they were quite busy.

I was very satisfied with my meal and will always go back when the lazy bug bites!
