On the road – 30 January 2015
Last opportunity to collect running licenses.
Well done to all the Dolphin Striders who participated in the PDAC 25km run/walk over the weekend.
It is a fast course and everyone enjoyed themselves despite the hot conditions.
The ladies were out in force with Delia running a strong 2.09, followed by Nikki (2.16) and Jen (2:19).
The rest of the Dolphins came home comfortably and enjoyed the run.
An unbelievable January is already over and the Hillcrest half and full marathon is fast approaching.
Fit in the last solid runs this week and then take it easier next week before the race.
Remember, the hardest step for a runner is the first one out the front door.
The DCS Gazebo will be up at end of the Hillcrest marathon so make sure to find it after your run.
Prize giving and the braai night will take place after the time trial this week on Wednesday. Please feel welcome to join.
Time trial results:
Top five, 4km: Sibu 13:55, Shayen 16:28, Janine 17:59, Johan 19:01, Delia 19:14.
Tryg, with the help of Jono and Sam in the pram, win the 8km in 45:00!
Rob, Ray and Luke walked the 4km route in 39 minutes.
Please note that this week Wednesday, 28 January, is the last opportunity to collect your licenses.
