The morning running group is growing by the week and if you are looking for a group to train with please feel welcome.

This group now has three “schools” (groups) that all train at a different pace. This allows runners to train well rather than straining to keep up with the fast runners in the front of the pack.

Shannon Clark, one of the regular morning runners, kindly named the groups the following:

Full picnic – strong runners who will train at between 4:45 and 5:15 per km. This group is captained by Ben Kilian.

Braai pack – middle of the pack who train at between 5:30 and 6:15 per km This group is captained by Barry Holland.

Tea party – steady and consistent 6:15 to 7 minutes per km. This group is captained by Bev Browne.

Good luck to all who are running the NOSA Hillcrest this Sunday. The gazebo will be up so come and enjoy a cold beverage with us.

Sarah
