On The Road – 18 December 2015
Remember the Big Hill Run taking place this weekend.
This Sunday, December 20, sees the running of the inaugural Big Hill Run at 6am from Sugar Rush Park, Ballito.
There is a 10km and a 21km road race and a 5km fun trail run. As the name suggests the course is tough, winding up through the beautiful farm lands along the Esenembe road. It is very quick coming back. There are medals for all finishers.
Tim Johnson, sales director of the event sponsor, Seeff Properties Ballito, commented “Like the Dolphin Coast Striders, we at Seeff recognise the importance of being active and would like to be a part of that in our community”.
By sponsoring this event, Seeff is also able to really add value and change lives within our area. The money raised from this race will be used to sponsor ten previously disadvantaged members of the club.
The funds raised help towards equipping these athletes with running shoes, new club kit, membership fees, entry and transport to races such as the Comrades marathon.
The Dolphins have really enjoyed working alongside Seeff Properties who feel strongly about social responsibility and their community.
Everyone is encouraged to join in the fun and be part of this fantastic race.
Enter online at www.eventtiming.co.za or find out more information at www.dolphincoaststriders.co.za . We will be taking enteries at the Salt Rock Country Club from 2-5 pm on December 16 -19.
Congratulations to Pippa McGregor and Karin Furby for coming first and third respectively in the Sea Dog trail run in Cape Town recently.
