Charity dinner for Blood Lions campaign
Support the campaign while enjoying dinner, entertainment and lucky draws at Ballito's Katmandu restaurant.
Be a part of the global campaign trying to stop lions from being bred for the bullet.
Ballito’s Katmandu restaurant, partnering with The Inside Edge, will be hosting a charity dinner on July 17 in support of the Blood Lions Campaign.
The campaign is linked to the international multi-award-winning feature film documentary, Blood Lions.
The documentary follows Ian Micheler, a safari operator and environmental journalist, who attempts to expose and create awareness regarding the lucrative multi-million-dollar predator breeding and canned lion hunting industry.
It also focuses on the disturbing realities of cub petting, walking with lion activities and the lion bone industry.
The documentary exposes how these industries are not only being kept alive, but being allowed to flourish under South Africa’s tourism sector.
There are more lions in captivity than in the wild.
About 8000 to 10 000 lions are confined to cages, whilst 3000 are free to live out their lives in the wild, without the prospect of being hunted.
The charity dinner is being held with the hopes of raising awareness as well as funding for the campaign.
Invite family, friends and colleagues to join in on the event, where lucky draw prizes and holiday getaways are up for grabs.
Enjoy the food and entertainment while being a part of an important step toward lion freedom.
Tickets are R375 and include a welcome drink and three course meal.
Book a seat or table by the July 15 by contacting Sharon at sharond@ie.co.za.
