WATCH: North Coast Courier staff join the Dames dance revolution

Unbelievably, the catchy and rather impossible-to-get-it-out-of-your-head-song has amassed over 3.2-million views on YouTube.

South African rap artist Biggy’s now viral hit music video, Dames has spanned innumerable hilarious memes and rip-offs.

The Dolphin Coast was not to be left out and the irresistible urge to dance to this catchy tune spread like wild fire through The North Coast Courier office this morning.

“It’s team building, it’s embarrassing, it’s hilarious, it’s awkward and yet, it’s exciting, these were all thoughts running through our heads when the spontaneous ‘dance off’ of sorts took off,” said production manager Nicole von Metzinger.

The catchy and rather impossible-to-get-it-out-of-your-head-song has amassed over 3.2-million views on YouTube with many people still wondering just what in the world is actually being said in the song that makes it so catchy.

The writer of this piece – an Afrikaans man – has also questioned the actual song and what makes it so cool but, it is what it is and has since brought people from all walks of life together in what may be considered sort of a culture clash.

Now, for the sake of cutting the copious waffling short, have a look at just how well The North Coast Courier can get down to ‘Dames’.

Needless to say, more can be expected from Biggy himself with his latest video having already reached nearly half-a-million views – have a look for yourself.

Hilarious memes have also been born from the song and some have even managed to trend on Twitter.
