The Ballito Lions Club is hosting the annual Ricky Braham cricket festival at Umhlali preparatory school.
Open to all ages, the day promises to be fun for the whole family. The competition gets underway on Sunday, February 23 at 9am.
While teams bat and bowl, they will be raising funds for the Quadraplegic Association.
The format of the festival is set to be a round robin knockout. Teams will have eight overs to bat and each side will consist of the traditional 11 players. There will be a semi-final and final to decide the overall winners.
Team entries are R1 000 and the proceeds will be handed over to the Quadraplegic Association at the event. There is space for 12 teams and eight have already been confirmed.
Besides the cricket there is plenty for the rest of the family to do with some awesome live music, a beer tent and food stalls for spectators.
