Footy hosted a social netball tournament on Saturday, March 8. The tournament comprised of five teams all wanting to grab the very first indoor netball title at Footy. The competition was fierce, but all the games were played in a good spirit. Team Harlem Globe Trotters looked like the team to beat, but with them forfeiting, the Cherry Bombs met team Babelaas in the final. It was a closely contested affair but in the end it was the Cherry Bombs that took the victory 14-12.
The indoor netball league will be starting around March 24 and will consist of a premier league for the more established teams and a social league, for the younger or less experienced teams. For more information regarding the league and entry forms contact Kyle 084 519 4140.
