Salt Rock motorbiker outrides competitors in national offroad race.

Brett Swanepoel, representing Proudly Bidvest Yamaha, took overall first place at the second round of the Totpak National Offroad motorbike race held at the Usutu country club in Swaziland on Saturday.

Brett won the 360km race in a time of 6:23:05.959 on a Yamaha YZ250F, outperforming riders in all other classes, including the more powerful 450F class.

Yamaha was also the winning manufacturer on the day.

Brett is continuing his excellent form that has seen him take numerous victories already this year.

These included first place in the OR3 class of the first round of the National Offroad, overall victory in round one of the KZN Regional Cross Country race, winning the Enduro World Cross Country in Heidelberg and two second places at the National Enduro double header which was held in Creighton.

Brett is aiming to compete at the Red Bull Romaniacs in July and the enduro world championships in Slovakia in September.
